He has previously completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Perioperative Ultrasound at the University of Melbourne, the National Board of Echocardiography Advanced PTEeXAM and is currently completing a Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound. His research interests include perioperative ventilation and respiratory management, has he been the principle investigator of numerous clinical trials.
He is a current recipient of a major ANZCA research grant and is a previous recipient of the Boots Young Investigator award and the ASA Kevin MacCaul prize. He is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Melbourne on perioperative respiratory care, is a current Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists fellowship examiner and an instructor at the NATCAT and ANZSAC and ACE airway courses.
